Day 102 - Gym day...

July 7, 2011

Woooo, today is Tanabata! I heard people would go to the park...wearing yukata and see the stars. Am I doing it? Nope. I'm doing something even more "meaningful". ha! XD (what a lie...)

K, I'm finally going to the gym for the very first time. I wanted to go earlier, but all the first timers have to attend a 1-hour lesson before we can officially join. They only have classes on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. Only the Thursday ones are in the evening. I couldn't go 2 weeks ago, and the next available slot was today. Oh well, it's better late than never I guess.

Initially I was thinking...."what are they gonna teach us??? I've never attended lessons for joining a gym..." That gym is a very simple gym (that's why it's so cheap. ha!) There are no fancy machines, but they have the regulars. I am happy with it. =) Man........the scale was an evil thing. It was terrifying stepping on that thing and seeing the horrifying number. Ohhhhhhh.....超やばい! Haaa, I can't believe it took me like......a year to figure this place out!!! I guess the number and the person in the mirror might not be as terrifying if I knew this place earlier...or not. ha!

Haaaa, some of my students are soooo cute...XD I've been "supervising" a specific section of the school during their daily clean up. The "unlucky" group that gets my section will always get asked questions. =P I've been really trying to remembering their names. I'm getting there....but there are still a looooooooooong way to go! Starting probably from 2 weeks ago, I'd been giving them a daily question to answer before their clean up was officially finished. I tried to use grammar points that they just learnt so that they can have a little out-of-class review. They had recently learnt pass tense, "be going to" future, and "want to".

Here's today's question: What countries do you want to go? A: I want to go to~

The students went around answering my question. They are 2 nensei students. One of the boys answered "I want to go to America to see Johnny Depp, and I want to go to Canada to meet your family!" Awwwwww..that's toooooo cute!!! He's a cute and cool kid. He looks quite cute. I can see him being quite attractive and popular now or in the future. He's in the tennis club. I actually quite like most of the tennis kids. (well, I like most of the baseball and soccer kids too.) It's quite interesting to see those cool kids being so cute. haa! I love my kids. =P

Hmmm, July is quite an eventful month. I am really looking forward to all the awesome events! =)

cheers my friends!!

Day 101 - せった(Setta)

July 6, 2011

Well, I got this setta on Sunday. I will be wearing this during summer festival when I play the kodaiko. I have been wearing this at home so that I would get comfortable wearing them. I'm quite excited about the festival! It would be sooooo fun!

Hehe, I was very happy to see some students actually went to the board and looked at the contents. Just seeing that made me feel the work was worth it. =)

Man...I'm tired. I need a break.

Day 100 - Finished! =)

July 5, 2011

Yay! It's finished! =) (finally...) and YAY! I have officially blogged for 100 days! hahaha... I actually could have finished earlier, but when I was putting the pictures up, some teachers actually stopped and talked to me about my board. A teacher got quite interested in the fruits of Taiwan. He was like..."seeing the board is like going on a vacation!" Awwwwww, that's so sweet of him to say that! I was encouraged. =P Another teacher chatted with me about his experience traveling in Hong Kong. It seemed like he really enjoyed Hong Kong when he went! Haha, one of the vice principals actually look pictures of the food "models" to show his grade 1 daughter. His daughter apparently really likes playing with clay.

Man, I totally didn't plan my board well. I made the signs so big that I didn't have enough space to put the pictures. At last, I left 1/3 of the pictures unused. Hmmm, I think my board was too messy........and the signs were not clear. Oh well, I'll watch out next time. I'm just glad it's finished. Ha, my "Taiwan" side ended up with mostly food....I tried to take away some of the food, but they are toooo good to be omitted! Well, it's just impossible to put every aspect of Hong Kong & Taiwan onto the board. Hopefully the board did a weeee bit of internationalization la!

Hmm, I'm sorta planning my next board. It was pretty bad. I actually had those Chinese new year stuff for almost 5 months!! =S Even my tea lady mentioned something about my board..............................that's crazy... Well, the earthquake played a part, and I was actually quite busy since the beginning of the school year. Well, I'll update more often next time. When I was taking down the Chinese new year stuff, another teacher actually mentioned "our Chinese new year is finished today!" Haaaaaaaa.....XD All I said was "ほんとにすみませんでした!”haha...haha...hah.....

Well, It's good that one thing down my to do list for me. Phew~~ Let's travel to Hong Kong & Taiwan!!~ =P

Day 99 - Undone...

July 4, 2011

Sigh...no picture for today because it is undone. I am not a very wise person. I sometimes am not good at managing my time wisely. I meant to finish the board today (well, I actually sorta knew last week that it would be difficult for me to finish everything today...), but I was too busy during the day. I only had 1 free block and I still had 2 lessons to plan for the next day... Thus, I was only able to work on the board after school. Sigh...why did I do so much for the board?? I don't understand. I stayed so late that my principal "kicked me out" of school. Haha... I felt so すみません。。。 Oh well, I will finish it tomorrow.

Day 98 - Death by chocolate...

July 3, 2011

Before my drumming practice, we had a very spontaneous death by chocolate event. We tried a New Zealand tried and true brownie recipe at Winz kitchen. That was definitely a lot of sugar and fat! However, the brownie tasted great, and everything was just......great! Although the brownies were rich and probably at "death by chocolate" level, they only made us sweeter...than we were...haa! =P (不要臉。。。)

May there be joy, joy, joy, joy down in our hearts. =) Cheers!

Day 97 - Sendai Vegalta soccer game~

July 2, 2011

Megumi san, a very very friendly person from church, took Amanda and I to a Sendai Vegalta game today. It was Vegalta vs. Nagoya...whatever team. I heard both teams were strong..ish. It was my very first time watching a pro soccer game live. It was very very nice of Megumi san!

Woooow, sooooo many supporters wore the Vegalta shirts! Megumi has 2 extra ones, so she lent Amanda and I the shirts. We sat on the 2nd row. They were very good spots; however, it was waaaaay too sunny and hot today! I actually wouldn't have minded sitting more at the back. =P

Watching sport games is fun! However, I think the game seemed a bit slow..... I guess because soccer fields are so big, so it seemed like it took the players forever to run from one end to another. All in all, it was an interesting game to watch!

At last, we had a tie of 1-1. Oh well, I'm not a fan of neither team anyway. It was nice to see the Vegalta score though! I somewhat wanna see the Sendai Rakuten baseball game in the future. =)

Day 96 - Happy Canada Day!!

July 1, 2011

Ok, this has NOTHING to do w/ Canada day. In fact, what did I do for Canada day??? um...NOTHING...? Well, does saying "happy Canada day" to a few other Canadians, and pressing "like" on others' "happy Canada day" statuses count? =P Man, I'm such a bad Canadian..... I still remember it's always cool to go to Granville Island on Canada day. Going there made me feel extra "Canadian". Sigh....I should have even mentioned the world "Happy Canada day!" Sometimes I feel I'm a bad representative of Canada...ha...

Well, I spent a longer day at school. It's all because I was not efficient at what I have to do. Sigh, I was going to finish the board today, but I failed. Haaaa, after going home, I suddenly decided I should spend some time studying...so I did. Sigh, sadly, it seems like I really need to work extra hard on my Japanese! Haaa, it seems like my tutor doesn't even think I would pass the test in the end of the year........超やばいぞ! =S

Hmmmm, I love weekends~ =)
